Medellin’s Five-Pointed Dome

On February 17, 2014 a Colombian family spots something unfamiliar overhead. It didn’t take them long to realize it was a UFO.

A large, well-lit object glides through the skies of Medellin. A tight zoom indicates the presence of a perimeter light array on the bottom of a five-pointed craft. The top is mostly obscured in darkness, but image filtering reveals it to be large and dome-shaped.

What is this UFO and what does its light pattern represent? Is it a communication mechanism, attempting to send us a signal?
